Manufactur
Our products are implemented with great attention to detail, based on our own designs and ideas.
Our objects, which are still made by "real people", bear small, individual traces of the loving, manual production.
In our eyes, this is an unmistakable quality feature of the purely handcrafted production.
We put the proceeds of our work completely into our little "zoo" :-)
This consists primarily of greyhounds, all of which come from animal welfare.
In addition, various farm animals have found their resting place with us.
We also step in as a foster home, especially with the very
anxious or sick greyhounds or bullys ....
Leather - fur - BIO?
As is well known, real leather / fur comes from animals - that's why it is not a harmless product!
Traditionally, leather is a waste product from the meat industry and can therefore be viewed as a sustainable use of what is already there.
The term "organic leather" is not protected and is therefore not used uniformly.
Many leather manufacturers refer to vegetable tanned leather as organic leather.
We do NOT use the term BIO leather for our products.
In our eyes, this creates the mistaken impression that the leather comes from
of animals from species-appropriate husbandry.
The acquisition of leather, from the pure point of view of species-appropriate husbandry,
was unfortunately only possible in exceptional cases so far.
Leather hides / leather scraps can nowadays be bought cheaply on many platforms.
In most cases, however, these leathers come from low-wage countries.
For the most part, leather from industrial mass production is tanned with toxic chemicals.
Cheap leather mostly comes from Asia (e.g. Bangladesh), where there are hardly any effective environmental and occupational health and safety standards.
For this reason we buy our leather from German tanneries.
Most of our leathers are vegetable or mineral tanned.
In addition, the laws and tests that apply to us ensure high standards for the product, the environment and people - thus a pollutant-free end product.
We buy our cowhides from a small tannery that does animal skins on a contract basis
tanned by cattle from the surrounding farms.
A long-established family business that has been exclusively for generations
uses vegetable substances for the individual tanning processes.
We were there and looked at everything.
The skins we have purchased are from rare, small ones
Cattle breeds such as the Dexter cattle.
These animals are very robust and therefore often live outdoors all year round.
Very exotic skins come from Argentina - where cattle are usually still kept in large groups in the open air. Unfortunately, the cattle in Argentina no longer have as much land available (nowadays needed for soy cultivation).
as was the case until 15-20 years ago.
We generally do not buy calfskin or calfskin !!
We often receive criticism because we use FELL ...
Remember - fur is leather to which the hair is still attached.
Fewer production steps are required during manufacture than with leather!
Also - do not wear leather shoes, handbags, briefcases, purses, etc ...?!?
We go mindfully and consciously through our everyday life and that's exactly how we keep it
with the purchase of goods and the manufacture of our products
Collars
The types of leather we use (e.g. cowhide, goatskin, deerskin)
are selected with love and care and
are of high quality - but with different strength and grip.
There are very soft, light but also somewhat firmer, heavier qualities among them.
We work with "soft" types of leather through all "layers",
like contract or upholstery leather.
These leathers are geared towards intensive use without being hard or brittle.
We do not use any artificial foam or fleece for padding.
Our collars are made of leather through and through.
This is why our tapes are not so "thick", they remain breathable and adapt to the wearer's neck shape better and better over time.
For the purpose of stability, pull-stop collars are only used (only on order)
Continuous and "invisible" webbing made of polypropylene (PP) is incorporated.
During production, the focus for us is that the dog through our optical
Design must not be "annoyed".
Our own dogs can have tassels and long droops
Ribbons and pearls do not suffer (scratch, shake ...)
Our address tag is an exception.
Our own dogs have no problem with that.
Decide for yourself whether you prefer to use the address tag or not,
because many of our jewelry collars are delivered with an address tag.
This offers enough options on two pages for information such as
Telephone number and address.
According to our customer feedback, we are constantly adjusting our collars
the requirements.
.
For example, we now only use leather cords with a minimum thickness of 2.50 mm (usually significantly more) to pull the pearls.
In addition, all upper leathers are now given a finish that protects against dirt and moisture, which is a great advantage, especially with open-pored and very light-colored leathers.
Note:
Collars are objects of daily use and get "traces of use" over time.
Depending on the activity (young dog, oldy, character, breed ...) of the dog, make yourself
Signs of wear noticeable at different speeds.
Particularly open-pored leathers - such as antique or suede - become "greasy" over time,
receive a desired "patina" in use.
In spite of careful selection, fur applications can lose their "hair" over time in particularly stressed areas and reveal the leather underneath.
We know from experience that especially the bands are smaller
Greyhound breeds especially "suffer" ...
This is why our "small" collars are made particularly robust!

Our ukulele straps are always made individually and individually from soft, velvety materials in combination with a wide variety of leathers.
The leather ends are always made to match the respective belt and are usually softer than the commercially available ones.
Please keep in mind!
The holes for the strap pins can wear out over time. A problem that also applies to standard ukulele straps
show over time.
For this reason we recommend strap-lock.
Hold reliably and can be easily and quickly removed or changed.

Safe'n cozy greyhound harnesses are only made to order!
Price from 399.00 euros!
Unfortunately, a cheaper production is no longer possible due to the high expenditure of time (approx. 10 hours)!
GREYHOUND harnesses
Our harnesses are our own development
We use "technical" outer fabrics to give you product properties - such as
Weather resistance - to be able to offer.
But also models made of cowhide / hide or goatskin and combinations thereof
are used.
All harnesses are lined with skin-friendly cotton blend fabrics.
The edging is done with hard-wearing, very soft, synthetic tapes.
Our pearl applications are made with pearls from the
all over the world individually put together and "movably" attached to the dishes.
This is how our dishes get our unmistakable style.
A hard-wearing and long-lasting window film is applied to the longer side part.
This offers enough space for identification information such as address and telephone number.
The individual materials used can always be found in the respective description.
The belt straps are used exclusively to secure the side Velcro and to attach the D-rings. These straps are made of polypropylene (PP),
the used metal parts made of high quality
Stainless steel or brass, the acetate snap fasteners used.
We use highly tear-resistant yarns for all harnesses.
